Terms of Service
These terms govern your use of play2lrn (the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to them. This is a working draft and should be reviewed by counsel before you rely on it.
1. Description of the service
play2lrn provides interactive, browser-based educational simulations across three access levels: open to everyone, available with a free account, and available with a subscription. We may add, change or remove simulations and features at any time.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old, or the minimum age of digital consent in your country if that is higher, to create an account.
3. Account registration
You must provide a valid email address and keep your credentials secure. You are responsible for activity under your account and should tell us promptly if you believe it has been accessed without your permission.
4. Subscriptions, billing and payment
Paid subscriptions are billed in advance and renew automatically through our payment processor until you cancel. When you cancel, access continues until the end of the period you have already paid for. Refunds are governed by our Refund Policy.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to scrape or bulk-download the Service, reverse-engineer it, circumvent access tiers, resell access, or interfere with its normal operation or other users.
6. Feedback
If you send us ideas, bug reports or suggestions, we may use them to improve the Service without any obligation to compensate or credit you.
7. Simulation content and accuracy
Simulations are teaching tools. They are simplified models, not professional, legal, medical or financial advice, and you are responsible for how you apply what you learn.
8. Intellectual property
The Service, its simulations, code, design and branding belong to play2lrn or its licensors. Your account gives you a personal, non-transferable right to use them; it transfers no ownership.
9. Privacy
Our handling of personal data is described in the Privacy Policy.
10. Third-party services
We rely on third parties for hosting, our database, email delivery and payments. Their terms apply to those parts of the Service in addition to these.
11. Termination
We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms. You may close your account at any time by contacting us; closing it does not by itself trigger a refund.
12. Disclaimers
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind to the extent permitted by law.
13. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, play2lrn is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.
14. Indemnification
You agree to cover reasonable claims and costs that arise from your misuse of the Service or your breach of these terms.
15. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. Material changes will be posted here with a new effective date, and continued use of the Service means you accept them.
16. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of Chandigarh, India have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute.
